Stryker and its Surgical marketing team are looking for an experienced marketing professional. The candidate should have demonstrated success creating long-term marketing solutions within the healthcare industry.

Job Description
 The Associate Product Manager will focus on the blood products within Surgical and partner with our sales force to provide compelling and relevant insights and branding solutions with a focus on customers. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop solutions for marketers across verticals. All candidates must have experience in a brand marketing environment as well as experience in the healthcare industry.
The incoming Associate Product Manager will plan, direct and coordinate the marketing of the Stryker blood products, and ensure that the assigned product/products are marketed in accordance with budgeted objectives and with respect to market maturity to obtain maximum profitability and volume in relation to pre-set standards. This role requires at least 45 percent of the time to be dedicated to travel outside of Kalamazoo, Michigan, where it’s located.
In addition, the core responsibilities are:
• Formulate and install sales promotion guidelines, methods and procedures and assist with the overall sales promotion and marketing programs.
• Prepare sales training and selling aids, literature and brochures and catalogue displays along with advertising or similar materials. In addition, may administer sales promotion projects such as sales contests.
• Originate new uses and markets for products and recommend distribution channels for them.
• Analyze competitive position of company products and recommends or supervise product styling, quality changes, inventory allocation, and price structures.
• Analyze and appraise the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results.
• Supervise, coordinate or recommend advertising programs and coordinates publicity and maintain contacts with agencies.
• Supervise or cooperate in market research programs.
• Recommend participation in industrial, scientific and other types of exhibitions and may develop direct mail campaigns and programs.
• Participate in or advise on label, package and product design, from a sales promotional standpoint.
• Prepare or cooperate in the preparation of sales forecasts and in development of projected selling expense budgets.
• Will participate in the sales and/or marketing training of others.
• Manage and/or facilitate functional input in the new product development process for assigned products.
• Submit periodic reports on areas of responsibility.
• Provide sales force with competitive and technical information on a timely basis.
• May evaluate the performance of 1 or more subordinate based on pre-established performance parameters.

• Stryker Instruments Sales Training Program.
• Previous experience in Sales/Marketing.
• Extensive Field Sales training or Instrument Sales experience.
• Internal Product Development training.
• Instruments marketing training program (4 hours).
