Courier-Leader: Little girl gives to children facing cancer

A Mattawan youngster who was diagnosed at 16-months with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type II, a disease for which there is no treatment or cure, recently turned 5, reports the Paw Paw Courier-Leader. Brielle Kennedy achieved her goal of growing out her hair and having it cut so she could contribute 13 inches to Locks of Love, a nonprofit that donates hair pieces to children with cancer.
