Local food offerings rise with opening of new bakery

Recently, the Victorian Bakery opened its doors and it was a hit with local food fans and others just looking for a well-steeped pot of tea and a sweet to go with it.

Maria Brennan built the Victorian Bakery in 2006 in her Victorian-style home in Kalamazoo's historic Stuart neighborhood before moving into the shop downtown in what is becoming known as the food triangle.
