Eaton Corporation is seeking a Quality Manager for its operations functions in  Marshall. This is a full-time, mid-senior level position in automotive manufacturing and product management.

Job Description
The person who accepts this position is responsible for co-leading the quality function for all North America automotive operation locations in the U.S. and Mexico. Partner with manufacturing site quality managers to manage relevant Eaton Business System tools, group and regional business systems (quality specific), and requirements to support customer satisfaction in each regional manufacturing site. Identify quality gaps in assigned manufacturing sites and technical centers, develop site specific actions which are monitored and closed effectively and efficiently. Focus on PROLaunch new product development launch activities to ensure flawless launch of new products. Functionally support manufacturing site supplier quality function and ensure all of the supplier quality tools are appropriately used to manage the supply base.

The person in this position has direct responsibility for leading the quality customer service organization. This includes managing work deployment, work quality, individual development and performance management for the team. In addition this position is the first line contact and liaison between our customers, Eaton engineering, and Eaton plant operations.

Some of the essential functions of this position include:
A. Responsibility for advanced product quality planning by analyzing, assessing and mitigating the risks associated with product launches. Drive quality processes and metrics associated with product launches.

B. Provide quality leadership for Eaton plant operations to ensure sufficient quality support for customer satisfaction, use of Eaton tools for continuous improvement and support of Eaton Business System requirements.

C. Interface directly with the customer on manufacturing quality related issues including reporting, problem analysis and system audits.

D. Provide quality leadership for process and product control including the identification and implementation of appropriate six sigma / statistical techniques.

E. Assist the region in the deployment, verification and maintenance of business systems that comply with industry requirements and Eaton Business System practices.

F. Support systemic quality system gaps by assisting plant operations in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement processes and provide communication within various levels of the organization on these gaps.

G. Proactively work with our customers and plant operations to anticipate and address potential problems before they occur and drive improvements as identified.

H. Diffuse potentially difficult customer issues utilizing the quality customer service representative team.

I. Manage any regionally contracted quality customer service representative 3rd party services.

J. Manage all aspects of the quality customer service team including but not limited to: travel and expense costs, customer review visits and processes, resource management and planning, and customer communication processes.

K. Support 24/7 response time with Eaton plant operations and customers. 48-hour onsite response time to customer locations via self or quality customer service team member.

L. Support additional quality functions such as: management review process for the region, Eaton Business Excellence certification throughout Vehicle Group and the region, CONC and Six Sigma, and additional quality support functions as needed

Desired Skills and Experience.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 7 years manufacturing and quality experience

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. 

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous leadership experience.

• Strong background in quality engineering.

• CQM and Six Sigma Certification. 

• Previous experience with quality system auditing or successful completion of lead auditor course or certified quality auditor.

• Thorough working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, heat treat, stamping, etc.

• Previous automotive quality experience including knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO/TS 16949.
