After five years of work, Lake Michigan College's science wing renovations have been completed and the final phase of the nearly $9 million has recently been dedicated, reports the Herald-Palladium.
Gone are the "long, dreary lab tables," said Paige Eagan, a chemistry and conceptual physics instructor and grant coordinator for the project. They have been replaced by flexible, mobile work stations.

"Of all the things we have achieved recently, this is one of the highest achievements we have accomplished," LMC President Robert Harrison said during the opening ceremonies. "Jobs of the future will all have strong parts of science in them," from nursing and radiology to energy production.
