Advice on how to build a better website

If you're feeling insecure about your website an upcoming seminar in Benton Harbor can help.

The seminar, facilitated by Trent Watford of Tech Help, is designed for entrepreneurs and existing small business owners.

For those who have already created a Google website and who would like to learn how to improve it, this two hour class will train you on some advanced topics.

Participants will learn how to edit images, create graphics such as buttons and banners, and use a tool for a professional-looking slide show.

There also will be an introduction to Google Analytics, a free service to help monitor traffic to your site. There will also be time to ask questions about Google Sites.

Taking Your Website to the Next Level will be offered from 6:30 to 8: 30 p.m. March 21 at Cornerstone Alliance, 38 W. Wall Street in Benton Harbor. Registration deadline is March 16. Reservations are confirmed with paid registration. For questions or to register, please contact Cornerstone Alliance Small Business Services at 269-925-6100 or toll-free at 866-477-9922 or by e-mail.

The seminar is presented by Cornerstone Alliance Small Business Services and the Women’s Business Center. They offer programs that provide business training, business planning and technical assistance, as well as a Women Business Center and SBA Microloans for small businesses in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties.
