Borgess ProMed adds nurse practitioner

Katherine McLellan, MSN, NP-C, has joined Borgess ProMed Family Practice as a nurse practitioner.

She will work at the Woodbridge Hills location at 7901 Angling Road in Portage.

McLellan most recently was a summer school nurse for the Hartford Public Schools in Hartford, where she was responsible for the assessment and treatment of children in the Title 1 and Migrant Programs.

Her experience includes being a nursing director at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and she was a registered nurse and nursing manager in the Neurovascular and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. McLellan also was a staff nurse in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.

McLellan recently completed a master’s degree in family nurse practitioner at Michigan State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor.

McLellan is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse. She is a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, Neuro Critical Care Society, and Stroke Care Network Division of the National Stroke Association.
