Business is on the upturn and with that growth comes added employees for C2AE, a full-service architectural, engineering, and planning firm with offices in Kalamazoo.

C2AE has added one employee and two more are working at both the Kalamazoo and Lansing offices of the firm. With the new hires the company's staff has grown to 130. It has five offices in Michigan and one in New York.

Work from the Michigan Department of Transportation and in the health care fields have spurred the growth for the company.

Joining the Kalamazoo staff is Tim Cane. He is an architectural designer, specializing in healthcare and education. Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture. He also has a postgraduate degree in advanced architectural studies from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. His design background includes a variety of medical centers and clinics, ophthalmology medical offices, and retail design.

Employees who will be working both in Kalamazoo and Lansing are Jennifer Middlin and Trystin Vanderstelt.

Middlin joins the marketing team at C2AE as a marketing coordinator. She earned her marketing and management BBA degree from Northwood University. She brings more than a decade of experience in high tech marketing, public relations and social media experience to the firm.

Vanderstelt also joins C2AE as a marketing coordinator with a background in business and marketing. She has managed marketing and business development for several Michigan businesses. She is a graduate of Hope College where she earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and psychology. She also has a Master’s degree in Psychology.

"At C2AE, we believe that our team is what truly defines us,” says Bill Kimble, president of C2AE. "It’s the people that make for successful, built environments; talented people who communicate well, present creative ideas and execute sound designs."
